When the Silence is not Silent

It's been quiet. But no doubt. God works big works in the quiet.

Never mistake a quiet season for a dead season.
Never mistake a quiet move as a small move.
Always know this, God is always making moves no matter what.

I've been going through the most change within the last few months. Change I never thought I would experience. Even my Devotional time changed, my time alone with God and seeking the Lord through His Word. This changed. I became busy with so many other things. And not ever bad things man.

Truly, only good works. School ministry, volunteering at feeding schemes, outreaches and all the goody stuff...until one day I thought, 'Father, I can't hear you like I used to...🥺'

Yoh....i cried.

I wont even go into details about how I cried and the fearful thoughts I had 😔

I will say, that in this time God spoke to my heart and reminded me about two things.

1. Good works - at times, the enemy uses it to keep us so distracted and so in a place of 'if I don't do all of this then God won't see how good I am'.

It is important to have quiet time and allow God to speak to about the good works you do for Him. It is important that He is the One that approves the task/s and that you don't do it out on your own.

The consolation I received is from Ephesians 2 v 10 ; For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

What good works God has for us to do, is already planned out. You will never tire yourself out to do it. You will never have to move your whole life around to do them.

Trust me where God leads, He surely guides, and definitely provides.

Our God offers peace and comfort in whatever He expects us to do.

2. When you in dry spell, or just feel like you can't move, you're stuck and don't know what God is speaking.

Maybe God is speaking, in a way that you never expected 👐

Or the winner is this almost always 😏 God is speaking the same thing and you just don't want to listen ( a Jonah moment)

For God does speak—now one way, now another— though no one perceives it.

Job 33 v 14_

In times as such, I ask Him in prayer, 'Lord, If I am not listening properly or just deluded because of I can't see past myself...help me see the way You see. Help me see Your will and in that help me do Your will and not mine'...

God is always ready to work a good thing for us, if we are willing.

Please continue to trust in Him, nothing is for nothing ❤️
