I am sure you have heard of the phrase, “if you can’t beat them, join them.”
For a long time BC, that was me. And initially it was not about the fear of losing the fight so to speak but rather the fear of fighting so hard against what is wrong and then be singled out and looking liking a complete outsider.
Most my life, I’ve felt like an outsider, as if I didn’t belong, and just never fit in anywhere.
Thank God, I never did. Knowing what I know now, I rejoice in the fact that I never fit in for good reason, some not so good. However, since then, Jesus has changed my whole perspective on life and what it means to live for Him, i glory in His greatness and His holiness!
Now I no longer join them just because I can’t change them!
In fact, I really don’t care to change people. That is not a job for a person. That’s God’s work. We as people merely influence one another and we also choose what we will be influenced by either directly or indirectly this chose is made.
Either way, thanks be to Jesus that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He is Who makes all things brand new. 🙌🥹
So here’s you to you no longer conforming to the pattern of the world but living as a true sacrifice unto Christ Jesus. Allowing the Spirit of our Mighty God to change and transform you into who you ought to be in Christ Jesus!
The point is to live set apart lives. To live holy lives for and in Christ. And that does mean to ‘not join them’.
Those born of Christ Jesus, may very well be in this world but certainly not from it!
And that also means, you don’t gotta fight anyone, or force anyone to believe in Jesus.
You just live a life holy and pleasing to our Heavenly Father, seeking His righteousness in all ways.
It might seem lonely at times but trust that you are not alone and in due time the Lord will bring you closer to the ones He has ordained for you.
Dear Jesus,
Thank You, for Your salvation. Thank You for setting me free from the bondage and perspective of this dying world. Thank You, that in You I have find true Life and that You have and still are transforming me by Your Spirit to be the person You created me to be. Just so much thanks to You Jesus, for being with me through it all. I love and adore You my Lord.
In Jesus name, amen.
Be blessed to be a blessing. 🤍
