Keep your piece | 1704

Keep the peace vs keep your piece.

Recently, I’ve been so convicted regarding what I choose to say. I have always been quick to share my opinion. After years of being characterised as the ‘quiet girl’ when I was younger, I grew older always wanting to get my 2 cents in.

My golly gosh, Holy Spirit has been reminding me time and time again to, Be Quiet. 🤫

Really, since I’ve come to Christ Jesus, being quiet and listening has been my task. In the beginning of my journey it wasn’t easy yes but it was much easier then vs now. However, this does not diminish the growth throughout it all.

God is good and God is gracious, friend. Look with Jesus, it can always be done.

1 Peter 1, reminds us to be slow to speak, quick to listen and even slower to anger. Let’s aim to be a people who listens to what is actually said and so follow the instructions diligently. Let’s listen intently and on purpose.

It starts with God, once we apply this principle to our relationship with Him. All thereafter will fall in place as He purposes.

☝️So, heres this;

💭either you will keep the peace in a situation by speaking life, healing, encouragement and peace, all that comes from Christ Jesus.

💭Alternatively, you will keep your piece, which simply means following the prompting of the Holy Spirit, to be quiet. To be still in Him, as He leads.

Dear Jesus,

Thank You for Your grace and Your compassionate love towards us as Your children. Father, thank You for always being so faithfully You. Please help us to always seek Your voice, Your will and Your purpose in all that we do. May we fulfil Your will and not ours. May we be less of us and more of You. Help us stay quiet and observant when Your Spirit prompts, and to boldly step in faith as Your Spirit leads us to speak when prompted by You.

Thank You Holy Father, for leading us into Your righteousness.

In Jesus Mighty Name, amen.

Jesus, my peacekeeper.
