It's Friday, and usually most of us are celebrating the end of a tough week and just really happy that it is done, right.
In addition to this, we have the silly season at hand, in other words #kedezember.
So right now, all you might care about is the fact that the office will be closing soon & you will be off for a few weeks. But, for the now while you wait, the weekend shall suffice.
It's all great and dandy but this is to remind you to not forget about the fact that you are a human, who needs to decompress.
Introspection is super important. In this self-absorbed world we live in, we tend to forget that as much you got to be aware of your self-care routine, you also got to be concerned about your internal. More importantly, concerned about; are you living a life pleasing to Christ Jesus.
You gotta do what you can - to settle your mind, be aware of your actions and be accountable.
Its starts with you.
It is easier to just put the messy bubble of thoughts in a box and deal with each mess as it comes up. But, thats a #toxicity waiting to make a healthy environment stink up. You rather want to face whatever you must in the 'now. And what is great about being a child of the most High God, is that you dont have to do it alone.
We are told that we can trust God with all our cares.
1 Peter 5:7 - Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.
I challenge you to trust Him. I know it's not easy & it requires work. All Jesus, really wants is for you to try and in that the Holy Spirit strengthens you as you try. Before you know it, trusting Jesus will be the first thing you want to do, no doubt.
It is however a work.
As this week ends, and we enter the last month of year. For me, this calls for reflection.
Hear are 5 questions you can ask yourself to go from 'Mind Full to Mindful'
What can I celebrate this week/year?
What did I learn?
What brought me joy?
How am I feeling?
What are my intentions for the following week/year?
Remember as a follower of Jesus, we do not decompress as the world does(Romans 12:2). We ought to allow the Holy Spirit to refine, cleanse, and teach us according to the will of God our Father.
As you take time to reflect, always remember Don't settle for anything less than God's best for you.
🤍
Lets pray for the week that has come to an end
Dear heavenly Father, thank You for Your grace and mercy toward me. For a new day I get to experience Your faithfulness, even as I do not deserve, You grant this. Lord Jesus, as the week is coming to an end, and so is the year, please go before me today - helping me carry out my tasks to the best of my ability. No matter what needs to be done, that I have a positive atittude. And on this day, may I be able to avoid any troubled moments, any obstacles & if not avoidable that I am able to face them with the confidence that only comes from Your Holy Spirit. I am grateful for the loving concern You always show me. And I know that I can count on Your help today, and all other times in my life.
In Jesus mighty name, Amen
Jesus loves you, completely.
