Pray, pray, pray & keep on praying.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
When speaking with people in fellowship, we always agree that we need to pray more and pray earnestly and just pray wherever you are. This means, take a private moment to give things to the Lord through prayer. We don't always have the option to go into a private office space within our work environments where we can kneel down in prayer. This is of course more respectful yet; God wants our true hearts no matter our physical circumstance. 💗
This was illuminated to me one particular morning, when usually I would force myself to roll literally out of my bed landing on the tiled floor and position myself to pray. I would do this too many times that it became familiar to my flesh. Then it became hard to roll out. This one particular morning, I said Lord, "this is hard, I really do not feel to get out of this bed but right here, where I am at, I will pray." Just like that, I started giving thanks and prayed earnestly to the Lord as I lay on my bed & as I was continuing in prayer, I stood up with the strength of the Lord and once out of my bed I just continued to prayer. Later that day I decided to walk and pray. Look I was just walking, pacing really in my home as I prayed to God.
But pray, I will. 🙌
We have to be deliberate. I challenge you to be on purpose in your prayer life. God does not owe us anything, but we owe Him everything!
My Day 4 looked like;
Prayer - always, through all circumstance.
In the deep - spend time seeking the Lord through His Word, get to know Him.
Do not live in your past, move forward, shake off the guilt and shame of yesterday, seek forgiveness & guidance from our Father and move forward in Christ.
Philippians 4: 6-7, Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer & petition, with thanksgiving , present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard you hearts & mind in Christ Jesus.
