It’s one thing to be positioned for greatness or as I previously wrote, ‘positioned’ by God our Father, in Christ Jesus.
But if you’re not willing to work at maintaining and growing in your position of honour in Christ then truly it’s not worth you being there.
I’m sure you’ve seen in our headlines where a church leader or a government official started off their journey or career of with such great integrity and efforts but then became lazy and easily corrupted.
The point is that as did my devotion today, I was reminded that we need to be workers of our faith. That means reading the Word of God, daily, making time to sit with our Father and really press into what Jesus wants us to see and embrace for that day or even moment. There is always something to learn in Christ.
True wisdom begins when we fear the Lord. Because in Him lies truth. And if we going to be ambassadors of Christ we ought to make the effort to study His Word as His Spirit leads us. We need to remain teachable and ready to answer any questions regarding our faith.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your wisdom and Your truth. Thank You that where You lead, You also guide us and teach us according to Your purpose. I pray Jesus that You will help us as we walk in the gift of Salvation You have blessed us with. Help us be true ambassadors of You and to always walk with integrity as we journey ahead. Thank You Father.
In Jesus Name, amen.
2 Timothy 2:15
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved,a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the Word of Truth.
